Group discussions on pressing environmental issues — from plastic pollution to recycling — alongside stakeholder consultations and community awareness sessions.
CLEAN Maldives convenes Discussion Sessions to bring people together around the environmental issues that matter most to island communities. These sessions are designed to generate dialogue, share knowledge and build collective understanding — moving beyond awareness into meaningful conversation and action.
One focus of the discussion sessions has been plastic pollution in HA. Atoll — engaging local communities, stakeholders and decision-makers in honest dialogue about the scale of the problem and the practical steps that can be taken to address it.
Sessions have also explored recycling and upcycling in collaboration with the hospitality sector — one of the Maldives' largest industries — identifying how resorts, hotels and guesthouses can reduce waste and contribute to a more circular economy.
Beyond group discussions, the program encompasses stakeholder consultations and targeted awareness sessions — ensuring that environmental issues reach the right audiences and that diverse voices shape CLEAN Maldives' approach.
