CLEAN Maldives brought its flagship GoGreen drive to HA. Dhidhdhoo in 2025, planting 1,000 trees across the island in one community-wide effort. Volunteers from the local council, businesses and households joined hands to green public spaces and strengthen the island’s natural defences against erosion and a changing climate.

Alongside the planting, the team distributed fruit plants — mango, guava, rose apple and jackfruit — to households, encouraging families to grow their own and extend the island’s green cover at home.

GoGreen is an annual initiative. The 2024 edition saw 1,000 trees planted in Hulhumalé Phase 2 in partnership with Dhiraagu, contributing to the national ‘5 Million Trees’ programme.
